Whether you are a non-profit leader of an existing organization that needs a boost or are looking to start a new organization, this course will give you the guidance needed to build awareness in the community, increase participation and attendance, and reach a broader audience.

This course was created because engaging your Community around Climate Action or Sustainability is not easy. But if your Mission is to move climate action forward within your residential neighborhoods, effective Community Engagement is necessary.

A well thought out engagement plan minimizes these common obstacles to achieving measurable impact:

  • wasted time and money spent on activities that do not reach or engage a large number of people

  • connecting with the hard-core ‘believers’ in your community but not the majority of the population

  • creating messages that don’t resonate with your various populations

  • not being taken seriously by other community stakeholders or donors

  • not able to keep good, passionate people due to low moral measurable impact

The course covers every topic needed to run a successful community engagement program. We share strategies, case-studies and templates for engagement approaches, assessment, and required resources.

You will learn:
